Rick Green

Rick Green serves clients of the WSG Consulting as a government relations consultant and strategist.  A former three-term State Representative from Van Buren, Rick previously served as Chief Legislative Liaison for Governor Asa Hutchinson.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Rick's early passion for government and public policy was recognized by the voters of his home county when he was elected Circuit Clerk at the age of 23, becoming the youngest elected county official in the state.

Rick is well-known and respected at the Capitol.  He served on several committee during his legislative terms including the Joint Budget, Insurance and Commerce, Public Health and Revenue and Tax Committees. He was a key member of Speaker Robbie Wills' leadership team during his final term. In recognition of his strength in working across the aisle with all Legislators, Rick was chosen as one of the "Top Ten Legislators" in 2009 by Talk Business Quarterly magazine. Rick joined the Governor's staff after a successful career of 34 years in the transportation industry serving as a Regional Sales Manager for three national transportation companies.

Rick is married to Mary Beth Green, also a former three-term State Representative.   In fact, Rick is the first husband to succeed his wife into a state office in the history of Arkansas. Rick and Mary Beth have five children and six grandchildren.
