Shows passion and ability to win in November

Little Rock, AR May 11, 2010 – In the last official debate for the Arkansas Second District Democratic Primary Speaker Robbie Wills showed his passion and desire to serve in Congress. “Speaker Robbie Wills shared a positive message in front of party faithfuls. He made it clear that he has the right message and ability to win and win in November,” said Wills for Congress Campaign Manager Kyle Gott.

Speaker Robbie Wills received the most applause throughout the debate. His passion, message, party unity, and record of results resonated with the crowd. “Tonight there are 100,000 Arkansans out looking for work. We need someone that will fight for them. None of us can help anyone if we do not elect a Democrat in November. I can beat Tim Griffin in November, and the Republicans know it. They know I have the record of results on creating jobs and improving the quality of life here in Arkansas,” said Speaker Robbie Wills.

The debate was held before a crowd of over 150 party faithfuls at Sticky Fingerz. Wills was greeted by a large group of supporters outside the venue. This was the most dynamic debate to date with an enthusiastic crowd cheering on their candidates. Speaker Wills received the most applause throughout the night. “Speaker Wills’ performance in tonight’s debate confirms he has the fight in him to win in November. Arkansans need someone that will fight for their principles and win. Robbie Wills has shown he gives Democrats the best shot at keeping this seat Democratic,” said Campaign Manager Kyle Gott.

Endorsement cites “Rep. Wills has been a tireless advocate for public education…”

Little Rock, May 3rd, 2010 –Speaker Robbie Wills is the teacher’s choice in Arkansas’s 2nd Congressional District. The Arkansas Education Association has officially endorsed Speaker Robbie Wills in the May 18th 2nd District Congressional Democratic primary. “Rep. Wills has been a tireless advocate for public education throughout his legislative career. We especially appreciate Rep. Wills’ service to public school employees. He worked hard to secure funding for public schools health insurance, and he is always willing to listen to public school employees,” said Donna Morey, AEA President .

“I am honored to receive this endorsement. My parents are both retired teachers. Taking care of Arkansas’ public schools is an issue that lives deep in my heart. I promise the AEA that I will be a careful steward of their trust. Arkansas’ economy and quality of life are only as good as the opportunities for education we offer all Arkansans. I will always be committed to improving education here in Arkansas,” said Speaker Robbie Wills.

The Arkansas Education Association represents over 4,000 educators in Central Arkansas.

“This is a powerful endorsement of Speaker Wills’ campaign. No one in this race has accomplished more for teachers than Speaker Wills. He is committed to increasing support for public education and providing a better quality of life for all Arkansans. Having teachers support in our campaign is invaluable resource,” said Wills for Congress Campaign Manager Kyle Gott.

Wills highlights achievements, job creation amidst “subtle jabs, vague attacks”

Little Rock, April 27th, 2010 – Speaker Robbie Wills took his message of job creation and focusing on our nation’s economy to a larger stage Tuesday night at the first debate in the AR-02 Democratic primary. Speaker Wills also used the night to highlight some of his legislative achievements including: cutting the grocery tax, creating a trauma system, and expanding the coverage of Arkids First. He also addressed the points of his jobs plan and asked those in the crowd to visit ArkansasJobsPlan.com.

“Let’s focus on what we are going to do about creating jobs,” said Wills. “We need to move forward, not waste time in the past. We need to create jobs for all Arkansans.”

“The debates are an opportunity for the voters to learn about these candidates,” said Wills for Congress Campaign Manager Kyle Gott. “Tonight they learned that Speaker Wills is the only candidate concerned with creating jobs and fixing our country’s economy. The other candidates treated him like the front runner.”

The debate lasted more than an hour and addressed several issues, including immigration, clean energy, financial reform, and the current economic crisis. An estimated crowd of more than 100 attended the public debate.

“Instead of trying to help 100,000 out of work Arkansans, our opponents spent the night attempting subtle jabs and vague attacks,” said Gott. “Speaker Wills clearly won on style and substance. One candidate said that we need someone who can win in November. I agree. After tonight’s performance it’s clear that person is Speaker Robbie Wills.”

Speaker of the House Robbie Wills made his way over to Chickalah for the annual Pig Roast. The morning rain cleared out and left a gorgeous day for all to enjoy. Once the band got started and BBQ made its way around, the afternoon got even better. Rep. Wills used the opportunity to spread his message about job creation. With over 100,000 Arkansans out of work, it was almost all anyone talked about. Speaker Wills listened to their concerns and pledged to work hard for them as their next Congressman.

The Power 92 Jammers basketball team played a game against the All-Stars of the Conway church league. All proceeds from the game went toward True Holiness’ Backpack Program. This program will give kids the materials and supplies they will need for the opening weeks of school. The game was complete with halftime entertainment and some great efforts from the players. Thanks to Power 92, True Holiness Saints Center, & all of the folks that came out to support the Backpack Program.
