Speaker of the House Robbie Wills Enters Race for 2nd Congressional District

Wills Pledges to Take Arkansas Values and Common Sense Solutions to Our Nation’s Capitol

PICKLES GAP, Arkansas — Democratic Speaker of the House Robbie Wills announced Wednesday that he has entered the race for Arkansas’s 2nd Congressional District.

Amid a large crowd of family and supporters, Wills spoke of how his grandfather, Poppa Wilburn Adams, (founder of Pickles Gap) inspired a young Wills to begin his journey of public service by telling him “Don’t be a Do-Nothing, be a Do-Something!” Wills took his grandfather’s advice to heart, and is “doing something” by vowing to bring Arkansas values and common-sense solutions to the nation’s Capitol.

Wills’ strong belief that “Washington has lost its way” was reiterated throughout his speech, highlighting his pledge to save and create jobs, and bring economic strength back to Arkansas — while making Washington more accountable. As Wills stated, “Government has to play a role, and the role it should play is to ensure an economic climate where our private businesses can thrive, creating jobs and growing communities, just like my Poppa did when he built this business we’re in today.”
